The five players available to Coach Bruce Orne held their own for a half, trailing by only six points (22-16), but fatigue set in and the Boothbay Region Seahawks fell to the Dirigo Cougars, 52-26, at the Capital City Classic tournament at the Augusta Civic Center Dec. 28.

The game was a regular season tilt as the Seahawks fell to 0-3 on the season.

Senior co-captain Jaelyn Crocker scored 20 points, followed by four points from senior co-captain Emilie Crocker.

The girls’ next scheduled game is Monday, Jan. 3 at home vs. Spruce Mountain at 6 p.m.
