Lincoln Theater is pleased to announce the return in September of theatrical broadcasts from some of the world’s greatest stages with four different productions starting Sept. 10 with Richard III.

The Almeida Theatre makes its live screening debut with a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard III, directed by Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold with Ralph Fiennes as Shakespeare’s most notorious villain and Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Margaret. Screens at 2 p.m. Saturday. Sept. 10.

The Kenneth Branagh Theater Company presents Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” broadcast from the stage in high definition black and white Thursday, Sept. 15 at 2 and 7 p.m. A longstanding feud between Verona’s Montague and Capulet families brings about devastating consequences for two young lovers caught in the conflict.

Kenneth Branagh co-directs with Rob Ashford, reuniting with the stars of his celebrated film of “Cinderella,” Richard Madden and Lily James, as Romeo and Juliet and featuring Sir Derek Jacobi as Mercutio. On Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. the fall season of broadcasts from the National Theatre in London kicks off with an encore of Arthur Miller’s classic, “A View from the Bridge.” In this award-winning production that won accolades in the West End and on Broadway - including a Tony Award for Best Lead Actor in a Play for Mark Strong. The great Arthur Miller confronts the American dream in this dark and passionate tale. In Brooklyn, longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. But when one of them falls for his beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price.

NT Live will broadcast the current National Theatre production of Brecht and Weill's 1928 show “The Threepenny Opera,” Thursday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. to be rebroadcast at 7 p.m. A darkly comic new take on Brecht and Weill’s raucous musical, the production stars Rory Kinnear as Macheath, Haydn Gwynne as Mrs. Peachum and Rosalie Craig as Polly Peachum.In the show, according to press notes, “London scrubs up for the coronation. The thieves are on the make, the whores on the pull, the police cutting deals to keep it all out of sight. Mr. and Mrs. Peachum are looking forward to a bumper day in the beggary business but their daughter didn’t come home last night. Mack the Knife is back in town.”

Directed by National Theatre artistic director Rufus Norris, and presented in a new adaptation by Simon Stephens, it screens live on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m. and will be rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
