Snowmobile help needed at BRHS
With snow in the forecast, it’s time to dig out the cross country skis and keep your fingers crossed.
Boothbay Region High School’s Nordic ski team will be tuning up their skis after school on Monday, Dec. 16; if Mother Nature is kind, they may even get the chance to use them.
The Nordic team practices on the high school playing fields, which requires occasional grooming of the course. A few years back, the team purchased a groomer that can be towed behind a snowmobile.
“This year, the team is looking for a volunteer to drag the BRHS trails and fields,” Coach Emily Higgins said, “We have a groomer that hooks up to a snowmobile, but currently do not have a hauling snowmobile.”
Higgins said anyone interested and able to help groom the BRHS ski trails should contact the school at 207-633-2421.
