Southport Central School holds spring concert
The 19 Southport Central School students, grades K-6, under the direction of music and art teacher Jennifer McIvor, combined music, poetry and art at the school’s annual Spring Concert at Southport Town Hall June 7.
Titled “Nature, Poetry, Imagination,” the program, which lasted about 35 minutes, was mixed with group songs accompanied by McIvor on piano, pairs and threesomes reciting poetry, and student groups playing instruments.
The students included kindergartners and first graders Lily Billings, Octavia Carter-Dowling, Rivers Healy, Aiden Nunan, Cairine Blackman Morehouse, Owen Fessenden, Theo Kurtz, Brock Wallace; third and fourth graders Ryder Baker, Shepherd Griffith, Aurora Wallace, Jonah Fessenden, Duncan Scott; and fifth and sixth graders Fiona Bishop, Haiden Blackman, Mabel Kaler, Carter Townsend, Jessie Ullo and Kayla Watts.
