Spring has come to the Clothing Closet

Fri, 04/14/2017 - 8:45am

The Boothbay Region Free Clothing Closet is filled to the brim with colorful spring and summer clothes for men, women and children. Come and check us out any Wednesday or Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Closet is located at the United Methodist Church, Townsend Avenue. Enter by the driveway to the north of the church, and park in the lot behind the church. Open to all who live on the Boothbay peninsula and are in need of clothing.

Take what you need, leave enough for others. That’s our motto. Bags are available for your use. Please limit your shopping to two bags.

Donations are always welcome, but we are no longer accepting winter clothing at the blue box at the dump. Summer clothing, only, please. And no household goods, books, toys or anything other than clothing. Those items should go to the St. Andrews Thrift Shop or the Animal Shelter Thrift Shop.

We DO need children’s clothes, good sneakers and sandals, swim suits, exercise clothing, summer shorts and tops and other summer clothing for men and women. Thank you for donating clothing in good, almost-new condition.

The Boothbay Region Free Clothing Closet is sponsored by the United Methodist Church, and a program of the Boothbay Region Community Resources Council, a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization.
