The Visually Impaired Persons (VIP) group will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 1:15 p.m. at the Boothbay Region Community Center in the Meadow Mall, 185 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor.

Guest speaker for the meeting will be Chris Boynton, director of the Maine State Library Outreach Program. Many of the members have found the program’s Talking Books offering to be a lifesaver. Besides the audio books, the library offers a wide selection of large print books, which are available by mail from the Free Matter for the Blind Services.

Anyone with visual challenges is welcome to attend, along with their drivers and caregivers.
