“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” - (R; 2 hours, 28 minutes) - Receiving an 8-minutes standing ovation at its Cannes World Premiere, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is delivering full-throttle entertainment in this the prequel to “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015). In an apocalyptic society, a young Furiosa (Alyla Browne) is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great biker horde led by the warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth). Over time, sweeping through the wasteland, they encounter the citadel presided over by Immortan Joe (Lacy Hulme). As the two tyrants fight for dominance, an older Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) soon finds herself in a nonstop battle to make her way home.
