This week we take a step back in time. “Blackberry,” the New York Times Critic’s Pick, opening Friday, touches on both tragedy and comedy. The film takes us back to the days before the world had computers in our pockets and the journey these tech developers went on to make it happen. And who doesn’t love a classic back on the big screen? Don’t miss the 1975 Oscar winner, “Jaws,” playing for two screenings only.

“Jaws” - (1975; 2 hours, 4 minutes) - What better way to celebrate summer than with some old favorites on the big screen! Lincoln Theater is pleased to present the second film in our 2023 Summer Blockbuster series, “Jaws.” When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.
