Y Arts held the annual spring dance recital on Saturday, May 14 at Boothbay Region YMCA. Over 30 dancers, ages 3 to 15, performed for family and friends in the gym.
YMCA Arts and Humanities and Y Arts Director Emily Mirabile thanked Boothbay Region High School senior Emerson Harris for her years of service as a dance instructor at the YMCA. Harris is headed to Yale in the fall. Mirabile also thanked volunteers Spencer Pottle and Sarah Harris following the performance.
Dance classes at the Y will start back up in the fall, but if anyone is interested, Y arts is offering one-week dance classes throughout the summer. Contact Mirabile at emirabile@brymca.org or 633-2855, ext. 280.
