Thirty-nine members of the Boothbay Region YMCA Dolphin swim team are scheduled to compete at the State YMCA Meet at the Bath YMCA on Saturday and Sunday, March 5 and 6. The team is coached by Zach Gray, Mike Hills and Heather Hills.

The swimmers will compete in 64 individual events and 13 relay teams.

The meet will be live streamed on the Long Reach Swim Club’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/snaildarters) and at http://www.maineymcaswimming.org/ beginning at 8 a.m. each day. The meet schedule is as follows:

Saturday, March 5

Session 1 – 9 & 10 Girls – warm up 7:30 a.m., meet at 8:40 a.m.

Session 2 – 9 & 10, 11 & 12 Boys – warm up not before 10:30 a.m., meet at 11:40

Session 3 – 13 & over Girls – Warm up not before 2:30 p.m., meet at 4.

Sunday, March 6

Session 4 – 8 & under Boys & Girls–warm up 7:30 a.m., meet at 8:30.

Session 5 – 11 & 12 Girls – Warm up not before 10:30 a.m., meet at 11:40.

Session 6 – 13 & over Boys – Warm up not before 1:30 p.m., meet at 2:45

Spectators will be allowed into the spectators’ area, however limitations will occur. Additional seating and live stream viewing will be made available in the Field House of the Bath YMCA. A fee of $5 per adult, $2 for children under 18 will be charged to all who enter through the meet check in area (no charge for swimmers participating in the session). Meet programs will be available on Meet Mobile for purchase. We will be seeding the meet during warm ups to minimize the open lanes due to possible scratches.

Covid 19 protocols: Masks are required for all spectators and swimmers during the meet. Masks will not be provided, so please bring your own mask.
