Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund reaches annual campaign goal

The Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund wants to thank everyone who donated to this year’s annual fund and helped it reach this year’s $250,000 fundraising goal. Courtesy photo

    On May 14, Wayne and Sue Keene established a named fund within the Boothbay Region Student Aid Fund. This was created to honor Wayne's mother, Evelyn Hartung Keene, who was a revered teacher and educator in local schools for nearly four decades.

    This generous contribution facilitated the BRSAF's exceeding its goal of raising $250,000 for the 2017-18 fiscal year.

    BRSAF President Brad Hastings, on behalf of the Board of Directors and future student recipients, expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Keene upon being presented with this donation last week.
