The Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor led the charge to help local Coast Guard families during the partial government shutdown. The Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger reported Tuesday, Jan. 22 that the pasta dinner held at the church Saturday, Jan. 19 raised $9,791 after all the cash and checks were totaled. Foulger also reported that donations from the donation box at the Y amounted to an additional $1,636. She said she delivered the donations to the Coast Guard station on Tuesday.
Here are some scenes from the dinner.
