Seahawks freshmen compete at Central Maine championship
Seahawks track and field freshmen Ava Schlosser, Emilie Crocker, Grace Campbell and Kate Wickline competed through a frigid downpour at McMann Field in Bath during the Central Maine Freshman Championship May 28. The Lady Seahawks faced Scarborough, Morse, Brunswick, Chop Point, Yarmouth, Mt. Ararat, Skowhegan Area, Lisbon, Nokomis, Mt. Blue, Winthrop and Wiscasset.
Boys and girls competed together for the 1600m race walk which Schlosser won with ease in 9:39.14, almost a half minute ahead of the entire pack.
Wickline took fifth and Campbell sixth in the 800m run in 2:58.2 and 3:01.8. Then, Campbell took fifth and Wickline sixth in the 1600m run in 6:16.2 and 6:28.2.
Emilie Crocker took third in both discus and shot put with 55’4” and 20’2”, and fourth in javelin with 45’5”.
