Boothbay gets past Monmouth 60-47
The Boothbay Region Seahawks improved to 4-1 with a 60-47 win at Monmouth Wednesday, Dec. 18. Monmouth dropped to 2-1 in the loss.
In the first period Boothbay secured a one point lead, 13-12, behind a combined 10 points by Ben Pearce and Hunter Crocker. The scored was tied at the half. The Seahawks regained the lead in the third quarter. Kaeden Davis had 2 threes and a deuce in the period and Boothbay led 41-32. The Seahawks increased the lead in the final stanza mainly through solid foul shooting. Boothbay was 10 for 11 from the free throw line that period.
Leading the balanced Seahawk scoring was Kaeden Davis with 17 points. Joining Davis in double figures were Nicholas Morley with 16, Ben Pearce with 12 and Hunter Crocker with 10. Pearce led Boothbay with 10 rebounds.
Gabe Martin and Brock Bates each had 13 for Monmouth.
The Seahawks are next scheduled to host Mt. Abram on Friday, Dec. 20.
