Boothbay edges Oak Hill 41-37
Senior Chloe Arsenault went 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and the Boothbay Region Seahawks held on for a 41-37 win over the Oak Hill Raiders at home Friday night, Dec. 27.
After the first quarter, where Boothbay held an 11-5 lead, the teams played evenly the rest of the way. Three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter by the Raiders helped them take a short-lived 30-28 lead with 5:45 to play but from there, Arsenault and junior Glory Blethen combined for 12 of Boothbay’s 15 points in the quarter and the Seahawks improved to 5-1 on the season with the victory.
Sophomore Jaelyn Crocker and Arsenault led the Seahawks with 13 points each and Blethen added eight.
Emily Dilman led Oak Hill with eight points, followed by Anna Beach and Audrey Dilman with seven points each.
Boothbay’s next scheduled game is at Monmouth on Monday, Dec. 30.
