Low numbers result in no BRHS baseball, boys lacrosse this spring
It will be another spring without local high school baseball or boys lacrosse.
In 2020, the coronavirus wiped out all Maine spring high school sports and in 2021, low turnout has resulted in Boothbay Region High School canceling baseball and boys lacrosse.
BRHS Athletic Director Allan Crocker reported the decision Wednesday morning, and he said girls lacrosse would drop down from a varsity to club sport.
The only BRHS sports offered this spring are boys and girls tennis and track and field.
