The Mt. Valley Falcons improved to 5-1 on the season with a 1-0 win over Boothbay Region on Perkins Field, Boothbay Region High School Monday, Sept. 20.
An unassisted goal by Autumn Freeman with 6:52 to play in the second quarter held up, as the teams played evenly the rest of the game.
Boothbay (1-4) played well defensively, as Mt. Valley had 16 penalty corners to the Seahawks’ two. Boothbay goalie Jaelyn Crocker was tested in the first half stopping several shots and recording 17 saves total.
The Seahawks will face Lisbon at home on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 3:30 p.m.
