At Bethel Monday night, Jan. 31, the Boothbay Region Seahawks girls varsity basketball team nipped the Telstar Rebels, 28-24, to improve to 2-7 on the season.

Senior co-captain Jaelyn Crocker led Boothbay with 17 points. Senior co-captain Emilie Crocker added four points. Other Seahawk scorers were Magen Burge (2), Jordan Chamness (2), Maddie Orchard (2) and Meg Sledge (1).

Boothbay is scheduled to host Monmouth (3-6) on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 6 p.m.
