At Hall-Dale High School Wednesday, May 25, the host Bulldogs defeated the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 4-1, for the 2022 Mountain Valley Conference girls tennis championship.

Boothbay’s first singles player Laura Chapman defeated Allie Young 6-1, 6-1 for the Seahawks’ only match victory.

Kayla Lee of Hall-Dale defeated Hannah Roberts in second singles 6-1, 6-3.

Boothbay forfeited the third singles and the second doubles matches.

In first doubles, the Bulldogs’ Ella Schaab and Katie Allen prevailed over Jaelyn Crocker and Savanna Compare 6-1, 6-4.

Both teams now wait to hear who their opponents will be in the Class C South Maine Principals’ Association tournament.
