Boothbay edged by Mountain Valley

For the second time this season, the Boothbay Region Seahawks fell to the Mountain Valley Falcons, 2-1, in Class C field hockey.
The Monday, Oct. 3 game at Perkins Field saw the Falcons take a 1-0 lead into the half on a goal by Lola Bisson, on an assist by Kaylani Sinclair.
Boothbay tied the score in the final quarter on a goal by Savannah Compare at 10:46 after a save by the Falcon goalie. However, about 20 seconds later, Abby Jones gave Mountain Valley the lead back with a goal off an assist by Mallorie Bouret.
The loss dropped Boothbay’s record to 1-9. Mountain Valley improved to 4-6-1.
