Lisbon advances with 4-0 win over Boothbay
The second-ranked Lisbon Greyhounds moved to the semifinal round of the Class C South field hockey playoffs with a 4-0 win over the Boothbay Region Seahawks Tuesday, Oct 25. The game was moved from Lisbon High School to Lewiston High School due to the condition of Lisbon’s field after Monday’s rain.
The Greyhounds got two goals from Laura Mockler and one each by Avia Russon and Haley Tuplin. Lisbon goalie Maria Levesque made 12 saves. Boothbay goalie Meg Sledge had six saves.
Lisbon had nine penalty corners to Boothbay’s two.
The win improved Lisbon’s record to 13-2 while Boothbay ended its season with a 2-13 record.
Lisbon will face third-ranked St. Dominic, a 2-1 winner over sixth-ranked Maranacook.
