First responders were called to the scene of an accident near the Boothbay Post Office on Corey Lane Friday at about 2:45 p.m.

According to the call from Lincoln County Communications, a vehicle had taken down a light pole and a Lowe's delivery truck was involved somehow. Boothbay Fire Department responded that extrication was necessary on the driver's side of the vehicle. Communications called Boothbay Harbor Fire Department to secure Sherman Field (the Boothbay Region High School football field) for a LifeFlight helicopter.
