UPDATE: Power restored to 1,200 Lincoln County customers
Update: CMP later reported no outages in Lincoln County.
Original post: Central Maine Power reported 1,229 customers in Lincoln County are without power on Sept. 14 around 12:15 p.m.
"I don’t have a lot of details yet, but I’m told that this outage is due to a motor vehicle accident in the Edgecomb area. Our crews are currently responding," said CMP media contact Jon Breed.
The company’s website reports that Edgecomb residents have been the most affected with 964 outages, and 174 residents in Boothbay are also without power. In addition, 27 customers in Westport Island and 64 customers in Newcastle are affected.
Central Maine Power reported service is scheduled to return by 2:15 p.m.
