The fourth annual Boothbay Harbor Lobster Roll 5k is taking place this Saturday, July 27 at 8 a.m. If you didn’t get a chance to preregister, don’t worry.

Race day registration will take place starting at 6:30 a.m. in the lower parking lot of the high school.

Convince two or more of your fellow co-workers to join you and compete as a team in our Workplace Challenge. To compete as a team, you need to have at least three people finish the race.

Team scores are calculated by taking the three fastest finishers from each team and adding their times together, fastest cumulative time wins the competition. Check out previous year's scores by going to our website and clicking on the Workplace Challenge tab.

Bring the little ones along as we will also have a Kids' Fun run following the 5k race. The run is approximately 1200 meters (.75 mile) and all participants will receive a Lobster Roll Kids Run item.

The race will start on Emery Lane at 8 a.m. Runners will turn right onto Townsend Avenue and continue through Hannaford intersection up the hill. Veering left onto Pear Street they approach the one-mile mark. They will then turn left onto Union Street and follow to the end.

A right onto Atlantic Avenue takes them to the turnaround point near Boothbay Lobster Wharf. Coming back on Atlantic Avenue, they will turn left onto the footbridge, follow footbridge to its end and head straight uphill toward Townsend Avenue. They then turn right on Townsend Avenue returning back to a left turn on Emery Lane to the finish line.
