Maine J-24 championships decided at BHYC Regatta

The annual J-24 sailing class championship was included last week in the Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club Regatta and was won handily by Carter White and his crew from Falmouth in the vessel, AL. The J-24 class of sailboat is a very popular racer on the Maine Yacht scene and was hotly contested amongst eight racers.
White, who was Maine Yachtsman of the Year two years ago, repeated his win of last year with four first and four second place finished within the eight-race format.
Second place honors went to Andrew Carey sailing Mr. Hankey and third place to Southport native Gretchen (Kinsey) Sullivan sailing Draco.
