The Church of All Saints by-the-Sea is looking forward to welcoming worshipers and seekers of all faiths to our summer worship season beginning on Sunday, June 16. A busy winter season has seen many volunteers clearing debris and beginning deck and dock repairs from the storms that scarred so much of our beloved coast. The historic chapel itself has been inspected and was found structurally undamaged. It will therefore continue to provide a summer spiritual home to visitors and local worshipers for the 118th year. Episcopal services of Holy Communion will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. each week with a service of Morning Prayer on the 4th Sunday of each month at 10 a.m. The season will conclude on Sept. 8.

All Saints continues its tradition of welcoming visiting clergy from across the country to preside each week sharing a wealth of wisdom and diversity. The season begins with local favorite, The Rev. Dr. Paul Tunkle from Dresden, Maine and will also feature another returning Mainer, The Rev. Canon Victoria Sirota from Searsmont, Maine. Throughout the season other engaging clergy will join us including The Rev. Canon George Maxwell from Atlanta, Georgia, The Rev. Martin Smith of Washington D.C., The Rev. Cristina Paglinauan of Baltimore, Maryland, the Rt. Rev. Mark Beckwith of Jaffrey, New Hampshire and The Rev. Canon Katie Pearson from Denver, Colorado.

The music program at All Saints will continue its excellence with Mr. Henry Lowe as our organist for the entire summer. Mr. Lowe has performed worldwide as a recitalist and accompanist and is retired from the Church of the Redeemer in Baltimore. He is a summer resident of Walpole, Maine.

For those worshipers who are unable to attend in person, recordings of the services will be available online the week after the service. We invite people of all faiths to join us, either in-person or virtually, as we grow in worship and prayer together. Readers can find out more about the clergy and organists, directions to the church, and other information on the church’s website, https://allsaintssouthport.org. The historic chapel strives to be “A Place of Prayer for all People” and will continue to be open during the week for private prayer and contemplation.
