The Boothbay Region Art Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering artistic expression and community engagement, announces its August Members’ Show. There will be a wine and cheese reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery on First Friday, Aug.  2.

Each month, a new selection of member artist pieces are on display and available for sale at the gallery in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. Whether you are a long time resident or visiting the amazing Boothbay Region for the first time, the gallery has something for everyone. The inclusive foundation showcases work from emerging student talents, as well as established, locally known artists.

The Foundation will also feature two solo exhibitions. Sarah Wilde, in the Harbor Room, including her bold and expressive land and seascapes, abstracts and a small collection of her mystical explorations. Susan Henry in Gallery 1 explains, “my work in this show is created from reclaimed materials. A decades-long passion for collecting discarded wood, metals, canvases, paints, picture frames, etc. is reflected in my art.”
