As part of our “Take Part in Art” series, The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is excited to announce an upcoming slide lecture/demonstration by acclaimed maritime and landscape painter Don Demers on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Rotary Club of Boothbay Harbor, 66 Montgomery Road.

Renowned for his breathtaking depictions of the sea and land, Demers will share his unique perspective on the creative process from working plein air to studio work and the requirements for each. Attendees will gain exclusive insights into his artistic journey, including his techniques, influences and creative process. Demers will also include a drawing demonstration narrating the intricacies of drawing boats and ships with a Q&A following the demonstration.
