The Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club-sponsored high school sailing team turned in one of its best performances ever last Saturday, Sept. 21 in the “Start your Engines” Regatta, which was hosted by Cape Elizabeth High School and held at Sail Maine in Portland.

Racing in both the A & B divisions, the Boothbay region youth garnered an eighth place finish out of 16 schools that participated. Schools from as far away as Duxbury and Marblehead, Mass. were involved in the competition.

Next week the team travels to the Casco Bay Open which will be hosted by Cheverus High School.
