Lady Seahawks fall to St. Dom’s 2-1
Despite playing their best game of the season thus far, the Lady Seahawks field hockey team (0-9) lost at home to the St. Dom’s Saints, 2-1, on September 27.
Boothbay scored within the first minute (29:14) when senior co-captain Brooke Alley hit the back of the net after a pass from junior Nicole LaBrecque.
St. Dom’s (2-7) tied the game about two minutes later when Brittany Eastman fired a shot into the goal from five feet away.
The game remained tied until late in the second half when Saint Kallie Greco made it 2-1 with a goal at 6:37. St. Dom’s controlled play for most of the second half and Boothbay never got a shot on goal to try and tie the game.
Boothbay goalie, freshman Erica Eames, had 12 saves. St. Dom’s led in penalty corners, 14-4.
