Mary Lou understands the issues
Dear Editor:
It feels like our representatives in Augusta have forgotten about us. Their priority seems to be their party ideology and not the well-being of the people they represent. We deserve representatives who actually represent us and who realize that their loyalty is to their constituents - not their party leadership.
That is one of the reasons I am enthusiastically supporting Mary Lou Daxland for House District 46. She's not a politician, she's one of us.
Mary Lou is a good listener, and she has been listening to the residents of Damariscotta, Newcastle, Bristol, Nobleboro and Monhegan while knocking on doors this past spring and summer. She has heard a lot. I know because I have accompanied her while door knocking in my town of Bristol.
People are fed up with what is happening to our district and our state. Taxes have family budgets at the breaking point. Our children are not getting the education they need to be productive citizens. Housing has become unaffordable for the average working family.
Mary Lou understands these issues and is ready to work on them using common sense and hard work. If elected, she will work to support parents’ rights to have a say in their children education and healthcare, she will help fund more vocational schools, and she will focus on lowering the energy cost.
Please join me in supporting Mary Lou Daxland for State Representative in District 46.
