BRHS theater news and announcements
The study of the art of theater is alive and well at Boothbay Region High School. Read on to find out what's happening “back stage!”
The family friendly one-act play, “The Audition,” will be presented on Wednesday, Oct. 28 by the performing arts class; curtain is at 6 p.m. The 45-minute play is about the trials and tribulations of high school performing arts students as they audition for the well known show, “A Chorus Line.”
Said performing arts teacher/coach Mary Miller, “The play has some humorous moments, but it is also intermingled with the serious.”
There is no charge, but donations are always accepted for the drama department.
Decisions, decisions. So many shows, so little time, and yet, BRHS' drama department has chosen “High School Musical II” as its fall musical. Miller says familiar faces from the May production of “High School Musical” are sure to be back on stage next month.
Show dates are Nov. 19, 20 and 21 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m.
