The Boothbay Region High School girls varsity basketball team easily defeated the visiting Winthrop Ramblers, 67-13, Friday night at Porter Memorial Gymnasium.

Boothbay (12-1) scored 21 points and held Winthrop scoreless after the first quarter in the one-sided affair.

Freshman Faith Blethen scored 18 points, followed by sophomore Page Brown with 17.

Winthrop (1-11) was led by Perkins with five points.
