Emma Markowitz, an 11-year-old from Boothbay, placed second all around at the Waterville USA Gymnastic Junior Olympic sectional meet on Saturday, Jan. 23. Her scores were: vault, 8.0; uneven bars, 8.45; balance beam, 8.825; and a first place finish on floor with a 9.2.
