The Chocolate Church Arts Center will celebrate mud season with humor and magic.

Vandini the Magician will reinforce that school break is a magical time,  Mainely Improv will invite audience participation,  and Maine’s most well-known stand up comedian, Tim Sample will keep you laughing all night.

“The time between winter and warmer weather is affectionately referred to as mud season and we choose to approach it with flair and humor,” said Jennifer DeChant, Chocolate Church Arts Center Executive Director. “In addition to a line up of musical acts, we offer a variety of entertainment to brighten the days and spirits of the residents and visitors attending these shows.”

Vandini has been performing his children's comedy stage illusion shows in the U.S. and Canada for over 35 years. Tickets are $10 for this Saturday, April 23, 2 p.m. all-ages show on the main stage.

The professional troupe Mainely Improv will present “On the Spot Comedy” in the Curtis Room Monday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. They specialize in making up comic situations entirely from suggestions made by the audience. Every show is different but every show is spontaneous fun for all involved. Tickets are $10. Space is limited for greatest interaction.

Tim Sample is a great Maine humorist and comedian, author and illustrator. On Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. he returns to the main stage. His remarkable style has been entertaining people worldwide with Maine humor and Yankee storytelling in the tradition of “Bert and I.” VIP seating at $35 will include a pre-show reception (with light refreshments) with Sample who will autograph complimentary copies of the CD, “Sample and Dodge - The Summer of ’81,” portions of which were recorded with Marshall Dodge at the Chocolate Church 35 years ago!
