Heartwood’s vacation property raffle is back
If springtime has you thinking in adventure possibilities, then Heartwood’s 2016 Vacation Property Raffle provides just the ticket. Six diverse properties from Maine to Europe are on the slate this year, and winning packages include up to $1,000 cash (paid to winners, directly following the drawing). This raffle is available only via Heartwood’s website at www.heartwoodtheater.org, where tickets may be purchased online (payment with check also available for those who prefer).
Three new Maine properties are included in this year’s slate: a rustic vacation at Chewonki’s rental cabins in Northern Maine on Fourth Debsconeag Lake; a 3-night visit at the Bradley Inn in New Harbor, with dinners and Monhegan Boat Trip included; a 7-night stay in a sea view cottage on the Pemaquid Trail in New Harbor, along with an exciting gift certificate package for four guests, to local attractions and restaurants. Tickets for these destinations are $50 each, and winners receive $250 to $500 cash, depending on the property.
A maximum of 200 tickets will be sold for each property — on sale now through May 6. Winning tickets will be drawn on the evening of May 7, during an on-stage reception following the final performance of “Our Town,” in the Poe Theater. Winners will be notified by May 8 and need not be present to win.
Back by popular demand, there is a 2-night package for the lovely College Club of Boston on Commonwealth Ave. ($500 traveling money included), complete with full breakfasts and free parking. Tickets for this location, only, are $25 each.
Two European destinations each come with $1,000 expense money. Last year’s most sought after destination is available again — the Currarevagh House, in County Galway, Ireland. Finally, a single bedroom apartment in a lovely, restored house of beautiful, historic Apt, France, is available from the owners of the Marston House, in Wiscasset.
Property availability varies by location; vacation times are to be scheduled by the winners, directly with the property owners.

This exciting fundraiser reaches far beyond the local community for support, as anyone in the world with Internet access can view the possibilities online, purchase tickets, and arrange their own vacation. Proceeds will go to Heartwood’s programming — student education and performances, main stage productions and original works.
