Boothbay girls defeat Madison 49-32
Seahawks outscore Bulldogs 19-5 in game’s final 11 minutes
Midway through the third quarter, the Boothbay girls held a precarious 30-27 lead over the Madison Bulldogs at Porter Memorial Gymnasium. The Seahawks used a full court zone press in finishing the game on a 19-5 run to earn their second victory of the season. Boothbay was led in scoring by forward Page Brown with 21. Other scorers were Faith Blethen with 12, Sydney Meader 10 and Kate Friant, Nicole Clark and Alex Welch all scored two points.
Boothbay’s next game is a home contest against Hall-Dale at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15.
