On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Boothbay Region High School Boosters Club, Boothbay Region School-Based Health Center (SBHC), Lincoln County Healthcare (LCH), and Let’s Go Lincoln County (LG!LC) are teaming up for a little something different. 

At the January 17 basketball game at BRHS, the Boosters, SBHC, LCH and LG!LC volunteers and staff will be offering fresh and mainly local foods. Amy Ronan, one of LCH’s Dietary Directors, has helped the group put together the menu and is providing support in preparing the food. 

“It makes sense to offer healthy food choices, along with promoting healthy lifestyles and exercise,” said Anne Barker, nurse practitioner at the Boothbay Region SBHC Center. “We are excited about the menu and look forward to raising a lot of money for the Boosters that night. 

“We will be offering Veggie or Chicken Wraps, 3-bean chili or chicken soup, carrots and hummus, roasted sweet potato and carrot sticks, and fruit smoothies.”
