The top-seeded Winthrop Ramblers (12-0) outlasted the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 59-45, at Porter Memorial Gymnasium Monday night, Jan. 16.

The Ramblers outscored Boothbay 22-12 in the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Senior guard Jacob Hickey led Winthrop with 24 points (12 of 13 free throws), while Cam Wood and Jevin Smith each added 11 points.

Boothbay (6-6) was led by junior guard Kyle Ames with 20, followed by senior forward Carter Babcock with 14.

The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Saturday at Monmouth.
