The Boothbay Region High School girls tennis team won its first match of the season, 4-1, over the visiting Dirigo Cougars.

At first singles, Madison Stahle defeated Dirigo’s Gina Kubesh, 6-3, 6-1.

At second singles, Emma Rideout lost to Dirigo’s Carleen Hutchinson, 6-1, 6-3.

At third singles, Maddie Gaudette defeated Dirigo’s Brittany Grieg, 6-2, 6-4.

Both of Boothbay’s doubles teams won. Eve Dolloff and Annie Bryer won, 6-2, 6-1, over Adrianna Belkis and Alyssa McTyre and Kayla Lewis and Sam Clarkson defeated Foram Bhatt and Panyanonwat Thavinne, 6-2, 6-0.
