Seahawks knock off St. Dominic
After overcoming the Dirigo Cougars on January 24, the Seahawks traveled to Auburn four days later and improved their record to 15-1 with a 74-36 victory over the St. Dom's Saints. Anthony DiMauro continues to cap a great career as he finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.
Evan Hepburn scored the first five points of the night for Boothbay on a layup and a 3-pointer. DiMauro scored 10 of the next 12 points, including two three-pointers, as the Seahawks built a 21-5 lead after one quarter.
The onslaught continued in the second as the Seahawks finished up a 19-0 run. John Hepburn added eight during the run and after one hoop by the Saints, a Kameron Markee 3-pointer and a hoop by Shawn Simmons put things out of sight as the Seahawks were up by 29. John Hepburn again finished with 18 points as well as nine rebounds.
The Seahawks now get a little break as a quirk in the schedule has them idle for a week before they return to action at Hall-Dale on Monday, February 4. They wrap up the regular season at home against Wiscasset on Thursday, Feb. 7.
