After resigning from the Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen on January 29, Selectman Robert Splaine retracted his resignation February 1.

His resignation letter to Boothbay Harbor Town Manager Tom Woodin cited the growing influence of external Boards, among other issues (follow link above for complete document).
