Boothbay wins again, tops Lisbon 5-1
Sophomore Chloe Arsenault had two goals and an assist to help the Boothbay Region High School field hockey team defeat Lisbon 5-1 at Perkins Field, BRHS on Monday, Sept. 25.
After Lisbon took a 1-0 lead on a Savannah Czechalski goal at 12:02 of the first half, Boothbay got goals from Sydney Meader on an assist from Page Brown at 10:11 and Arsenault on an assist from Hali Goodwin at 4:48 to take the lead at halftime, 2-1.
Boothbay dominated the second half, getting 12 penalty corners to Lisbon’s one. Sydney Mercier put the Seahawks ahead 3-1 at the 24:55 mark with a goal assisted by Arsenault. Arsenault scored unassisted at 13:47 and Lexi Lane made it 5-1 less than a minute later (13:05) with a goal assisted by Page Brown.
Boothbay goalie Emily Amaral made six saves while Lisbon goalie Mikayla Hamden had 13 saves.
Boothbay (8-1) will host Dirigo on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 3:30 p.m. Lisbon dropped to 1-6-1 with the loss.
