Ocean Point Inn is pleased to offer a photography workshop by well-known Maine photographer, Mike Leonard.  The workshop, Make your Best Shot will be held on Sunday,  Aug. 14 at 5 p.m. The workshop will last approximately 90 minutes. The cost of the workshop is $10 per person or $15 for a family. Register by calling the Inn at 207-633-4200 or by sign-up sheet located at the Front Desk of the Inn. 

Mike will help attendees understand important concepts to improve images such as white balance, file formats, raw capture and more.  All too often vacation photos do not reflect the essence of your vacation.  They can fall flat and are just not the visual memory you thought you were getting.

Host Photographer Mike Leonard has a way to help you to make your best shot with your existing equipment.  Be it a DSLR or a Point & Shoot or even a cell phone camera there are some techniques and apps for your phone that are free that you can add to easily ramp up the quality of your images and to bring home your best shots of your vacation. 

In a 90-minute slide lecture Mike will explain some concepts that are frequently overlooked that cause you to not make your best shot.  White balance, composition, and exposure are just some of the concepts that will be presented and demonstrated in a way that you will find embarrassingly easy to understand - perhaps for the first time!  It is easy to make postcard quality images - or better - after attending this session.
