The man charged with the death of a 3-year-old Edgecomb girl killed on Christmas Day 2022 has filed motions to suppress evidence. In March, Tyler Witham-Jordan’s attorney filed seven motions regarding suppressing evidence in Lincoln County Unified Criminal Court. Witham-Jordan of Edgecomb and Livermore was arrested in the death of Makinzlee Handrahan. He was charged with depraved indifference murder. 

In court documents filed by Witham-Jordan’s lawyer, James Howaniec, filed on March 16 and 17, the defendant sought to suppress evidence regarding prior bad acts, “irrelevant” evidence of Google search pertaining to rigor mortis, “irrelevant” evidence of a complaint for a protection from abuse order, service of a subpoena from protection of documenting evidence by a non-party (Department of Health and Human Services), statements from a Livermore interview, limiting a paramedic’s testimony, and evidence of opiod withdrawal. 

No trial date or suppression hearing has been scheduled in Lincoln County Unified Criminal Court.
