BRES opening information
Dear BRES Families,
I am pleased to welcome you to a new school year at BRES. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Ms. Kim Dionne into her new role as our assistant principal (former PK-4th grade school counselor). I am happy to also welcome Mrs. Lacey Phelps as our new school counselor. I am pleased to have them both in these new roles, working alongside me to support our students and school community.
I would also like to introduce new staff joining our crew at BRES as well as those who have moved to new positions in the building:

And a big welcome to all of the new families joining us this year! We have over 22 new students joining us so far this year- how exciting! A heartfelt welcome to our new families, we are glad you are here!
SET FOR SUCCESS
Wednesday, Aug. 28 4:30-6 p.m. at the BRES gym.
Dinner is served 4:30-6.
This event is a wonderful display of community where we come together to celebrate and prepare for the new school year. As in the past, we will have multiple community partners and vendors joining us with a raffle for visiting each vendor- wait until you see what we have in store for you this year!
Students in the following grades will receive an LL Bean Deluxe Backpack: PK (also receives a lunchbox), 2nd, 4th, 7th grades.

**Also, this year we are inviting some local home school resources. If you know families on the peninsula who home school- please invite them.
BRES OPEN HOUSE
Wednesday, Aug. 28 3-4:30 p.m.
(**PK teachers will be sending out information for the PK bus ride and open house)
Join us before the Set for Success event begins to meet your child’s teachers. Homeroom teachers, allied arts, guidance, interventionists, and administration will be available to meet. If you require time to discuss individual matters about your child, please schedule an appointment with the teacher as this is not a time to conference.
Students in PreK-6th grade will be getting more information from their classroom teachers in the coming weeks. Homeroom rosters for middle school students (grades 7 & 8) will be posted in the middle school wing at open house. Middle school teachers will be sending parent letters home after the start of the school year.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Arrival begins at 7:30 a.m.
- Students are marked tardy after 7:50 a.m.
- Dismissal is at 2:25 p.m. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) and 1:25 p.m. on Wednesdays
- Breakfast and lunch remain free for all students this year.
