May 25 update: 2,074 statewide COVID-19 cases
AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has updated its list, May 25, of COVID-19 cases in the state of Maine.
Today, there are 2,074 confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases across the state, including 1,858 confirmed cases and 216 probable cases.
Across the state, 1,290 people have recovered from COVID-19, while 78 people have died. The number of people hospitalized, at some point during their illness, across the state stands at 257.

Cruising into unknown waters

Squirrel Island summer may have fewer people
There are many things quintessentially Boothbay region, but few more so than a bustling footbridge and packed Squirrel Island parking lot on a balmy July afternoon. Wiscasset eateries adjust to changing rules
Wiscasset’s eateries are gradually reopening or opening for the season as the state allows, according to interviews and the businesses’ Facebook pages.
Red’s Eats is gearing up to open May 30. Co-owner Debbie Gagnon noted multiple safety precautions are now in place and she even has 12 employees who are certified ServSafe. COVID-19 statewide death toll increases to 78
AUGUSTA — The Maine CDC has announced, May 24, an additional COVID-19 death in the state, bringing the state’s COVID-19 death toll to 78.
The individual was a resident of York County and, according to WGME, a male in his 60s.
