    The Boothbay Region Art Foundation has issued a call to artists for their large format “Art in Maine” juried exhibition to be held Oct. 5-Nov. 9. The awards ceremony will be held opening night. The public is welcome to share the always stunning artwork, celebratory awards, and refreshments.
     
    The “Art in Maine” exhibition is open to all full and part-time Maine artists working in a large 2D format in various mediums and styles. Small sculptures are also welcome.  Prospectus and other details are available on the gallery's website: boothbayartists.org. 
     
    Works will be juried by Bob Keyes, chair of the Maine Arts Commission and editorial director at Colby College in Waterville. He is the former arts and culture writer for the Portland Herald Press and Maine Sunday Telegram.
     
    “Art in Maine” runs through Nov. 9. BRAF is located at 1 Townsend Ave. in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
