Motorist charged with OUI following Oak Street accident

Charity Chubbuck, 51, of Nobleboro was charged with operating under the influence June 18 after allegedly crashing into an Oak Street telephone pole near Boothbay Region Historical Society. According to Boothbay Harbor Police Department, Chubbuck was driving a black Ford Escape southbound around 4:24 p.m. and drove into the pole which caused a power outage and property damage. Boothbay Harbor Police and Fire departments and Boothbay Region Emergency Medical Services responded.
