Y Arts: “Finding Nemo JR” - Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean.  Thursday, Aug. 15 at 5 p.m. Tickets: $10 - purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for Y Arts performances.

“National Anthem” - (R; 1 hour and 39 minutes) - Dylan (Charlie Plummer), a soft-spoken 21-year-old construction worker, is the de facto father figure to his little brother and works odd jobs to help the family get by. After he finds himself with the opportunity to work at a ranch, he is welcomed by a vibrant community of rodeo performers who openly explore their identities and sexuality. Final showing Thursday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.

Salt Bay Chamberfest – Festival Concert Series -  Concert pre-talk at 6:30 p.m. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the 2024 Salt Bay Chamberfest has created Music in Blue, intermingling historical and contemporary works that exemplify the influence of blues and jazz on classical chamber music with music inspired by blue landscapes in nature and the visual arts. Final concert is Friday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m.  Single concert ticket (includes admission to concert and pre-concert lecture): Tickets: $45 general admission; $30 first-time attendee. Students free.

“The Wizard of Oz” - 85th Anniversary Event (1 hour, 41 minutes) -  The Lincoln Theater proudly presents the screen’s most beloved family classic. Grab your ruby slippers and bring the kids – we’re off to see the Wizard as Judy Garland takes us somewhere over the rainbow with the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Toto, too. Dress up as your favorite Oz character!  Introduction by our Classic Film Club host Jeannie MacDonald. Don’t miss the Yellow Brick Road photo booth with Dorothy ...and you may even win a prize. “Cat Video Fest 2024” - (1 hour, 13 minutes) - The world’s #1 cat video festival is an annual event. Cat lovers enjoy a curated compilation of the best cat videos from around the world. Presented by Oscilloscope Laboratories, this delightful festival features a variety of funny, heartwarming, and adorable clips, showcasing the unique and charming antics of felines. Ten percent of Lincoln Theater’s ticket sales will be donated to Mid Coast Humane.  Cat Video Fest is the purrfect way to indulge in some feline fun. Playing at 7 p.m. Saturday,  Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18; Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.

“The Lego Movie 2” -  (PG; 1 hour, 47 minutes) -  Free! -  It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are facing the huge new threat of Lego Duplo, invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild. Playing Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1 for a pre-film activity presented by Skidompha Library. No tickets/reservations required. Presented in partnership with the Library.

“Jurassic Park” - (1993. PG-13; 2 hours, 6 minutes) - The final film in our 2024 Summer Blockbuster series. Paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park’s mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt. Playing Wednesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m.
